Ian Hemingway

Senior Partner

Ian is the managing director of Hemingways. He is a commercial litigator with a considerable track record, including a number of reported cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal, and numerous high value disputes. Ian has a particular specialism in defamation law, and has dealt with a large number of high profile cases.

Chris King

Chris is a director at Hemingways. He is a corporate solicitor with extensive experience of corporate and commercial transactional work, including corporate M&A, MBIs, MBOs restructurings, demergers, private equity, banking and finance transactions.

Laurence Gavin

Partner

Laurence provides corporate and regulatory advice to clients including charities, other third sector entities and financial services firms.  As well as advising on M&A transactions, he supports clients with governance and corporate structuring requirements, subsidy control (state aid), procurement and competition issues.

Nigel Hyder

Nigel is a partner at Hemingways. Nigel has extensive experience solving a wide range of commercial and property disputes and also advises insolvency practitioners in relation to a wide range of issues and disputes.
